For some people, it’s the type of job that just feels like an endless chore. For other people, it’s their absolute dream job. Working in tech support isn’t for everyone, but if you’re the kind of person that is fascinated by wires and binary, there really isn’t anything better. There are plenty of perks to working in tech support, too.
Perhaps the most important perk is that you are able to see all sorts of crazy things. Here are some photos taken by tech support workers of the strangest things they’ve seen on the job.
The importance of cable management
Although it’s been known as important by particularly tech savvy people for a while now, it seems like cable management has just recently come into the mainstream. Many people are looking to actually make sense of all of their wires at home now that technology has become so prevalent, but no one does it better than those people that are in the business.

Just look at the difference that was made by the cable management here. This setup went from horrifying messy to beautifully organized. Ahh, this is what people in the tech industry live for.
They have identified the problem
Sometimes the problems that are faced by those in the tech support industry take hours to solve. They work incredibly hard to figure out how to fix obscure issues that come along once in a lifetime. Other times their job is just a little bit easier.

This was one of those days. This worker was tasked with fixing a printer that wouldn’t print, and it didn’t take them long to discover the issue. The paper had been put into the tray while still in its packaging. No wonder the printer was refusing to print!
You need to wash that thing immediately!
You would think that people that use technology day in and day out would try to take care of their equipment as much as possible. But there is more to computer care than just running an antivirus program. You need to actually, you know, clean all the stuff that you use.

Your computer and your keyboard both pick up a ton of dust over the course of a work day, and don’t even get us started on your mouse. That thing picks up grease like nobody’s business. Don’t believe us? Just take a look at this photo. So gross.
Keep your candles away from your computer
We have a sage piece of advice for all the computer users out there: keep your candles away from your computer. In case you needed a horror story to convince you of the importance of doing this, well, look no further.

This person left a candle melting on top of their computer, and the wax slowly made its way into the body of the machine. They then started facing some computing problems, so they called up someone in the hopes that they would get some help. The problem was quickly discovered.
The troll strikes once again
Just like fashion trends, memes go in and out of style as the years go by. The most popular memes of yesteryear are now only used by the most ironic Internet archivists. Keyboard cat, Charlie the Unicorn, and plenty of others have been left to wither. But if there’s one meme that really defines the Internet’s past, it’s the trollface.

This beguiling portrait used to be super popular, and it was definitely a remnant of the past when discovered in the CD drive of a computer at a high school. A classic prank if we have ever seen one.
There is no salvaging this
There are a lot of amazing things that tech support workers can do. They really do know their business quite well, and you would be quite surprised at the things that they can fix without breaking a sweat. Like all other people, they do have their limits, however.

While they might be able to untangle that bundle of cables in your office, you would be hard pressed to find a tech worker that could fix this monstrosity. We don’t even want to think about how this could be fixed. We would rather just watch it burn.
Well that shouldn’t be there
You would think that tech support isn’t a particularly exciting industry to work in. The term “tech support” really just conjures up images of the set from the show The Office. Maybe they would find some saucy stuff hidden on some hard drives along the way, but it’s not the most adrenaline-filled job, right?

Well, yeah, that’s usually the case. But it really depends on where you’re a tech worker. Some people happen to work in areas that are frequented by snakes. “Snake removal” wasn’t in the job description for these guys, if we had to guess.
That’s not gonna fix it
As phones have gotten more and more popular (in fact, many would argue that they are completely necessary for modern life), so too have home remedies for many common phone problems. The most popular of all of them is, of course, the rice solution.

This DIY fix says that any phone that gets wet should immediately be submerged in a bowl of rice if you hope to save it. This person tried to do that, but they apparently misread the online tutorial, as they filled their phone with rice rather than putting it in a bowl of rice.
It smells like burnt popcorn in here
Computers have fans in them for a reason. They got hot. Like, real hot. All of those electronic elements are working overtime in order to make it so that that fancy monitor of yours can show you cat videos in 4K. Sometimes computers can malfunction and overheat, causing certain elements of the computer to melt a bit.

We guess that this guy didn’t notice that there was such a problem with his machine, as the outlet on the back got severely destroyed. It looks like a piece of Chernobyl back there! Talk about unsafe.
We’re gonna need a cleanup in aisle blue
Printers are really important in any office. They are constantly being used, so it makes sense that they would have a few problems here and there. This printer, however, had an issue that you only see very rarely. It stopped printing because one of its ink cartridges seemingly exploded!

We have no clue how this happened, but we’re hoping that it was a relatively easy fix. Even if it was, that’s still a bummer. Those ink cartridges are expensive, you know. Now they have to drive to the store and buy a new one!
It’s just on another wavelength
Laptops are, simply put, beautiful machines. To think that so much computer power can be put into such relatively small machines is just a marvel of human ingenuity. Laptops have a certain sleek beauty to them, highlighted by the slick corners and hard edges of their bodies.

This laptop, however, seems to have a different aesthetic ideal compared to most other computers. It is really on another wavelength. Seriously, just look at how wavy it is! They had to hold the thing together with clips, for goodness sake. How did this even happen? Did they leave it in the oven?
But why? WHY, we ask?
Everyone has their own personal preferences when it comes to computers, and that’s totally cool. Some people like to cover up their webcams so that no one can spy on them. Makes sense to us. Some people like to use Internet Explorer while other people are normal and just use Google Chrome.

That’s all good. But why on earth would anyone want their computer monitor to be covered in plastic wrap? We suppose that that keeps it clean, but at what cost? Does this user also cover their mouse in bubble wrap to keep it safe?
Battery acid is never a good sign
Look, we aren’t computer experts. In fact, we sometimes need help to figure out what our Amazon password is (it’s always “password”… we should have known!). But we can tell you one thing that we are pretty sure about: battery acid is never a good sign when it comes to computers. In fact, we’re pretty sure that it’s never a good sign when it comes to ANYTHING.

This poor guy was tasked with figuring out what was wrong with his sister’s phone when he discovered battery acid leaking out of the thing. Get rid of that thing!
Well, it is technically wireless….
As technology becomes more and more advanced, it’s becoming obvious that wireless technology really is the way of the future. People walk around with wireless headphones in their ears all over college campuses and public transportation, and wireless mouses help workers get work down with a much greater level of convenience.

But what about those of us that are a bit stuck in the past with our wired mouses? Well, no worries! There’s an easy way to make your wired mouse into a wireless one. Just chop the wire off! Ta-da! Wait, that doesn’t work, does it?
A yummy, delicious, syrupy laptop!
There are a lot of adjectives that we would use to describe laptops. Convenient. Mobile. Useful. But syrupy? Uh, yeah, that’s definitely not in our top ten. Nor our top 1000. But that’s just for NORMAL laptops. For this one, sadly, we guess that syrupy would have to be our number one adjective.

For whatever reason, this machine was shipped alongside a large amount of maple syrup. Can you guess what happened during transit? Yeah, the syrup got all over the laptop. We’re hoping it didn’t completely ruin it, but our hopes aren’t too high.
Is it supposed to do that?
Printers are super useful, but they can also get broken pretty easily. When you really think about the complex task that a printer has, it makes total sense that one small thing could get messed up that would ruin the entire process.

We’re not exactly sure what happened here, but it seems like a whole lot of different things went wrong at once. Or maybe just one big thing. We’re definitely not experts on printers, but we feel like they aren’t supposed to expel large clouds of soot. At least not modern printers.
Looks like an easy fix
People tend to think that tech support workers can make miracles happen. The world would definitely be a happier place if that were true. Sadly, they are just normal people like you that just so happen to be good with technology. They can’t fix machines that are obviously broken past the point of repair, and we would definitely describe this computer like that.

Sometimes you just have to know when to throw in the towel and pony up the dough to buy a new laptop. We’re sure this one had a good run, but it was pretty old anyway.
That doesn’t look too safe to us
There are lots of different ways to go about shipping things, so you have to really know your stuff if you’re hoping to sell items online. If you’re just selling an old sweater or something, you really don’t have to worry about protecting it all that much.

But if you’re shipping over really expensive computer equipment, it would be in everyone’s best interests to make sure that that stuff didn’t break en route to the new owner. They got lucky this time, but why take the risk of shipping equipment without any sort of protection? Seems unwise to us.
They’re gonna cause a power outage!
Look, we don’t like to make generalizations, but there is definitely something that is true about almost 100% of teenagers today: they love their technology. Phones, tablets, laptops, they can hardly get through a day without using them (this can apply to most adults too, but let us pick on the kids for a second).

These 70 kids were on a school trip and had to share just six outlets. You can imagine the chaos of all of them trying to charge their items with just those outlets. By the looks of it, they’re gonna cause a power outage.
The perfect leg rest
When you work in an office, you have to get creative if you wanna stay comfortable all day. Those desks that let you work while you’re standing are pretty nice. What about exercise balls? Lots of people like sitting on exercise balls while they type away at their computers.

There are tons of different options out there, and whichever you choose is largely up to you. But one word of caution: don’t use the cables at the back of your desk as rests for your feet. That is not what they’re meant for. Trust us on this one.
And they were none the wiser
Everyone knows that cracking your phone screen is a pain that is felt two times. First, you now have to deal with a big, unsightly crack on your screen. It gets in the way of watching videos, and it’s always right in front of the number 7 when you’re trying to call someone.

How annoying. Second, it messes up your warranty and makes you get a lot less money back when you go in to trade your phone in for a new one. This guy tried to get around that with a very, uh, creative method. It didn’t work.
Anybody up for spaghetti?
Ah, there’s nothing like a delicious dish of spaghetti. You know what’s great about spaghetti? It’s a hearty dish that is both cheap and easy to make. You don’t need to be a master chef to cook up a nice bowl of spaghetti, you just need to know how to boil water.

You can also put in all kinds of different ingredients, making it a very customizable meal. Wait, you’re telling us that this ISN’T a picture of spaghetti and is in fact a photo of an awful cable setup? Okay, yeah, we’re terrified now.
A very cute fuzzy brown image!
You know, we’re starting to be convinced that working in tech support is actually a pretty cool job. You are given a very vague description of problems, and then you need to go out and solve them. It’s like being a detective, in a way.

This worker had the task of figuring out why a camera kept flashing to a “fuzzy brown image,” and it didn’t take them too long to diagnose the issue. The fuzzy brown image in question was actually an adorable, fuzzy, brown bird. There’s not a lot the worker could do to fix that!
Looks pretty normal to us
There are a lot of things that can cause culture shock when you go visit a foreign nation. While the language barrier is the most difficult thing to overcome, there are also small details that will constantly remind you that you are far away from home. The food you eat on a daily basis will be different.

The things that people laugh at will be different. Heck, even the connectors that get plugged into the electrical outlets will look different! Although, if we’re being honest, this connector looks pretty normal to us. Nothing to see here.
Do they have a death wish?
Some people just really take electricity for granted. Because it is such a part of our daily lives, many people really just don’t give electricity the respect that it deserves. A little shock may not be that bad, but please understand that electricity can be incredibly dangerous.

This person thought it would be a good idea to nail this power strip to the wall. If you ask us, they must have had a death wish. How can you do this without thinking about all the possible negative repercussions? They must have been having a lucky day.
A battery you can fall asleep on
Technology has been progressing at a really incredible rate in the last decade or so. We have seen some developments come by in recent years that some people would have never expected to see in their lives. Chips are becoming smaller, screens are becoming more high definition, and batteries are becoming… uh, softer?

We’re not sure what the deal with this battery is, but it looks a whole lot more like a pillow than a battery to us. We’re not saying that we would sleep with our head resting on this, but we wouldn’t be against the idea….
It’s always the easiest solution
Sometimes being smart can be a curse rather than a blessing. Having access to all kinds of obscure knowledge might seem like something that would help you quickly solve a problem, but everyone knows that the best solution is usually also the simplest solution.

There were probably other ways to get this machine working again, but after lots of troubleshooting, they discovered that it would work just fine if they simply flipped it upside down. Hey, sometimes you just need gravity on your side when it comes to these types of things. If it works, it works.
Installing their own hinges
One problem that all laptop owners fear is broken hinges. Once your hinges start to break, you run the risk of your laptop screen becoming disconnected from the actual body of your computer. And then you basically just have a normal computer without any of the perks of a laptop!

This person tried to fix their laptop by installing their own hinges, but they didn’t stop to think about what it was that they were drilling into. It turns out that they bored a hole right into their computer battery. That’s not what you want.
Cable management for beginners
Cable management sounds like the kind of thing that can only be done by experts, but that is definitely not true! If you have a lot of wires lying around your room, all you need is a desire to declutter to start working towards some truly excellent cable management.

One thing that is often recommended for beginning is simple clips, as they can help keep cables from becoming tangled. They also conveniently color code wires so that you can know what does what. This person didn’t have any clips around, so they used the next best thing.
The most essential part of every computer
You might not know this, but computers are actually very customizable. If you have the proper know how, you can toss in all kinds of additives into your computer to make it run more smoothly and efficiently. But of course, that doesn’t mean that you can ignore the basics.

There are some essential parts of computers that really can’t be removed. Like the pink slime container. You can’t get rid of that. How else will pink slime be transported around inside the computer? Yeah, okay, we admit it, we have absolutely no idea what that thing is.
Wrong kind of tipping, wrong kind of server
If you ask us, the people out there who don’t tip their servers are the worst kind of people. Many people who work in restaurants get paid below minimum wage with the caveat that tips will help them make an actual liveable amount of money.

To refuse to tip them means that you are okay with them earning less than minimum wage. Of course, with that being said, you don’t need to tip ALL servers. Like the electronic kind. Don’t tip those. Those servers are much happier to NOT be tipped over. They don’t like that.
Cable management: just do it
It may not seem like a really big deal to take care of your cables, but trust us, the problem can get quite serious quite fast. By the time that there’s an issue, there are going to be so many cables that it will be hard to figure out a good way to fix that issue.

This restaurant ran into that problem, so they called for backup. When the tech support worker got there, they discovered a massive mess of cables… and some shoes. What are the shoes doing there?! That just shows the type of cleaning ethic they had.
Beware of space heaters
If you live in a cold area, a space heater might sound like the nicest thing on the planet. Having a machine in your room that just keeps you warm and toasty sounds heavenly, right? Well, in theory, yes. But space heaters are known for overheating and even causing fires from the outlets that they are sucking power from.

If you are going to use one, plug it into an outlet alone. Don’t plug it into a power strip with a bunch of other electronics. You’ll wind up in a situation like this… or worse.
Say goodbye to that hard drive
For gamers, the Xbox 360 was one of those systems that really just changed everything. It had a massive amount of influential and groundbreaking games that were super fun to play, and it also had a killer online store where you could buy games and download them directly to your system’s hard drive.

This poor Xbox’s hard drive has certainly seen better days, however. It was making a rattling noise, so they decided to check it out. When they did, it was pretty immediately clear why it was rattling so much. The whole thing was cracked!
A work of art… sorta
Some people are born to do cable management. They just understand how to keep things organized and aesthetically pleasing. Others just do cable management out of necessity, and that’s how we wind up with situations like this.

While we aren’t really tech savvy enough to say what’s truly wrong with this, we can tell you that it has a certain kind of charm to it. All the different colors and shapes make it look like some kind of piece of modern artwork. Of course, that’s not really what you’re looking for with your technology. You just want it to work!
Let the experts handle it
Computers are, in many ways, a lot like cars. They are very complex machines with many parts inside of them that require a whole lot of knowledge to actually fix. If either your car or your computer has some sort of problem, odds are that you call up the professionals.

Not this guy, though. He decided to just try and fix his computer himself. And as you can see, it didn’t exactly go according to plan. Next time, just let the professionals handle it. They’re professionals for a reason. They may be nerds, but they’re good.
That’s not doing much protecting
Modern smartphones are amazing, but we have to admit that it is a bit frustrating that they can break so easily. Spending hundreds of dollars on a new phone is stressful enough, and then knowing that it can shatter into a million pieces if you drop it only makes it more stressful.

That’s why cases are basically mandatory for phones these days. But screen protectors are also super helpful if you want to be sure of your phone’s safety. This guy’s old screen protector didn’t exactly fit his phone, but he decided to keep it anyway.
The most hardcore Enter key ever
It’s funny to think about how many times certain keys have been pressed on a keyboard. How many times do you think that you have pressed the spacebar, for instance, on your computer? 10,000 times? 100,000 times? More? Less? It’s hard to say.

But if there was ever a candidate for The Most Pressed Key Ever, it might just have to be this Enter key. Seriously, it has taken such a beating over the past ten years that it’s practically falling apart! Here’s to another ten, Enter key. We thank you for your service.
Mounting the router on the wall
If you have a house these days, you basically need to have wi-fi. Whether you’re working from home, doing some research for school, or just want to watch Netflix, having a wi-fi router is totally necessary.

Those routers can take up a lot of space though, so mounting them on the wall is a nice solution to free up some space. This family got real creative with their router and put it in a net on the wall! While this may be a bit unconventional, it’s not the worst thing we’ve ever seen. We’ve seen far worse in this list!
Looks like it overheated
If you have an old computer (or even a new one, really), you probably need to be a little bit concerned about it overheating. Those old machines just don’t handle heat as well as the new ones do, and you can wind up with some serious problems if your computer starts getting a bit too hot.

If you don’t realize that it’s happening and shut it off before it’s too late, you can run into some real trouble. Just take a look at this computer if you don’t believe us. It looks like a candy bar left out in the sun!
There goes the laptop
Accidents do happen sometimes, or rather, quite often. All of us are no strangers to getting our property damaged one way or another. However, to have something as expensive as a laptop being damaged by accident to such an extent is pretty serious. Judging by how much the laptop was bent and how the USB port got misaligned due to a careless mistake, the repairs would cost an arm and a leg.

While breaking things is inevitable, we should all be careful when handling expensive equipment, especially something that costs a fortune, like a laptop.
The fresh scent of plastic
Before you place anything at home, you should think twice and consider if there would be any implications to it. This person placed a candle under what we assume would be the edge of television and lit it up for the night without giving it a second thought.

As expected, the heat from the candle melted the plastic covering of the television and added it to the original scent of the candle. Thankfully, the person is still fine despite having inhaled all that plastic the whole night.
“I just want some privacy”
There are quite a handful of us who want to get our laptop cameras blocked since we do not know if there is any software on our laptop that is spying on us. Of course, getting your laptop camera to start recording remotely is illegal and an invasion of privacy, but some companies do that anyway.

This person attempted to install a camera blocker on his or her own but ended up causing some damages to the surface of the laptop. Hopefully, it didn’t cause more damage to the computer aside from those few scratches.
Unwanted accumulation
It is natural for our computers to be covered with a thin layer of dust since dust accumulates on whatever surfaces there is. While it isn’t as clear in this picture, we can somewhat make out an accumulation of cat fur and a thin layer of residue from the cigarettes.

Most computer experts advise that you do not smoke near your computer and this is the result of doing so. You really shouldn’t be giving the technician a hard time maintaining or repairing your computer.
So close yet so different
You would have to use thermal paste if you want to install some sort of cooling solution to your computer processor. However, this person appears to have confused the difference between thermal paste and thermal pads, since they are just one word away and sound pretty similar. We are sure that the person would be needing thermal pads to cool the components instead of a thermal paste.

Sometimes, it is better to double-check the facts with the professionals before doing things yourself. It is even better if you should get them to assist you.
Oversized battery
Most laptops nowadays require you to get your laptop sent for maintenance in order to get your battery replaced, rather than let you do it yourself. You should not be using your laptop if you detect an anomaly when using it especially if it has got something to do with the battery.

Honestly, we should give this woman credit for being able to identify the battery, since there would be users who just assume that there is a water balloon in their laptop or something. No, an expanded battery does not give you 110% power.
Fits perfectly
Sure, you hate that your wireless mouse USB is popping out, but have you ever thought about having to remove it from the USB dock once the mouse spoils? Nobody in the right mind would hammer the thing into the USB dock for no good reason, even if it is for cosmetics.

Not only is this person damaging his laptop, we guess that it’s also time for him or her to purchase a new functional mouse. Please, if there are any things that you are unsure of, just use your computer and search it online.
A complete mess
It is important to keep your wires neat and tidy in order for you to keep track of which wire is connected to which location. However, there are certain major companies that simply don’t have sufficient time or manpower to ensure that their wires are functional and neat (at least we assume). As a result, this affects the internet speed of users in the area.

The lack of maintenance adds to the public outrage as well. We hope that the future of technology requires less use of wires because they cause a massive headache too.
Wrong port
If you are wondering why your thumb drive isn’t working, maybe you have gotten the wrong port. This person plugged his or her thumb drive into the ethernet port. Even if you are not a computer expert, you would have probably understood the difference between USB and ethernet.

After all, the cables are literally of a different shape and it’s hard for us to mistake that. To add to that, the USB port is just next to the ethernet port. If the thumb drive didn’t fit into a port, the person could have tried another.
Some mistakes can’t be undone
There is a difference between optical fibers and normal electricity, which is why you should not contact your electrician if you are looking to get your optical fibers maintained or repaired. It is easy for electricians to repair your electricity cables since they only have to connect the two ends of the copper wire together (simplified explanation).

However, optical fibers need to have a clear reflection of the light and you can’t just repair these cables like that. The electrician should have told the owner about the accident there rather than keeping quiet about it.
Infinite output extenders
The same concept applies to our power outlets. What happens if we do not have sufficient power outlets for all our devices to plug into? Obviously, we would have to use an extension cord. This is the audio equivalent of putting an extension cord into another extension cord and it keeps going on.

Of course, we are pretty sure that this logic would have worked in theory, but we assume that the audio quality would have been compromised as such. Nevertheless, it is a creative solution to a common problem.
Too much water
We understand that this is a computer that relies on water to serve as a cooling system. However, with that volume of water, it is sufficient for us to keep a few fishes in there, if you disregard the fact that the water would be warm when the computer is functioning.

At the same time, you would require a bigger pump to get that water moving about to do its job, so having such a high volume of water would be redundant and just adds to the burden of the computer.
Very organized indeed
Looking at this picture just gives us a headache. Aside from the countless wires hanging around everywhere, there are ten visible monitors and a laptop on the desk.

We really wonder who exactly would be able to tolerate such a messy work environment. To be fair, it wouldn’t be healthy as well, since there are plenty of surfaces that allow dust to settle on and the person sitting there would be inhaling all that dusty air. Aside from that, we hope that this person would really arrange the wires neatly and clear up that mess.
A substitute for a sieve
If you disregard the cleanliness of the fan filter, this is actually a creative solution to this person’s issue of having his tea bag ripped apart. There are obviously other better tools to solve the issue, such as an actual sieve or using another of the same tea bag as well.

By using the fan filter to separate out the residue of the tea, the dust on the filter will also be mixed together with the drink and of course, cause health issues. At best, this person would be let off with a stomach ache.
Done it with or without quality
The thing about getting your things done by a big company means less customer care. If you need maintenance, they will get it done for you, regardless whether it is done well or not. Of course, it has to be working, but that does not mean that the staff are going to help you arrange the wires nicely.

For an elderly grandmother who would easily be confused with technology devices, the staff would have put in a little more effort to help tidy up the area for the grandmother to use the stuff more easily.
Mummified cable
We get that using our phone charging cables every day can result in it being damaged over time. After all, everything would eventually spoil, right? However, if you were to have a cable that is this damaged, you might as well get a new one for ten bucks at the tech shop or online.

There is really no point in using tape and attempting to salvage the cable as god knows what kind of problems it may create in the long term. Also, it is probably time to get that Samsung Note 3 replaced.
One problem leads to another
Logic would tell you that if your laptop overheats frequently, the last thing that you should do is to open a hole in the laptop for it to cool quickly. Not only that you are not a surgeon, but you may unintentionally cause more damage to the laptop.

This girlfriend tried to open a hole in the laptop for it to cool but instead damaged the fan and broke the laptop. If you are experiencing overheating issues, you should send your laptop to the technicians to check what’s the issue or get the fans cleaned.
Filled with droppings
Considering how some computers can be really big, it is no surprise that there may be other living things living in them. Needless to say, that is a problem and should not happen. This computer was found to have rat droppings in it and proves that there are rats living in it.

Of course, if you suspect that there are living objects residing in your computer, it is best for you to go to the technician to get it checked immediately. While cockroaches are more common, even rats are possible as seen in this case.
Melted laptop
The majority of the external components to a laptop are made of metal due to their durability. However, even though we know that most metals have high melting points, it definitely isn’t wise to keep your laptops, or any electronic devices for that matter, in the oven. Not only this would damage the external component, it may also affect the inside of the computer.

We can see that the casing to the base of the laptop has melted and even the metal has turned as soft as leather. Just keep your gifts somewhere else.
Connect the cables
We aren’t wire experts, but from what we assume, the way that AT&T connected the cables for this person appears to be extremely extra, in a sense that they could have used a much simpler way to do so. In fact, it would have been much less work and cost less to change into a new wire.

Nevertheless, this way of connecting the cables would just make it too bulky for it to fit into small places, so we hope that this person won’t be stuffing that in some tight corner.
Bare and empty
We barely know anything about these kinds of computer stuff, but we believe that this is one of the components of the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU). However, a GPU is supposed to be consisting of fans and other components rather than just the card itself, so we don’t really understand what this person is doing.

However, the person appears to be trying to make a Christmas wreath out of the cards (since they are green) and we are just too dumbfounded to say anything for now.
Painted the ethernet cables
It is always wise to remove as many unnecessary cables and electrical devices as possible before conducting a major renovation. The renovation contractor just so happened to use paint to paint over the ethernet cables, including the metallic parts. This just means that the cables would no longer be functional and it is time to invest a couple of dollars into getting new ones.

At the same time, we guess that it is time for them to upgrade their old internet cables with newer and better ones.
A bad display driver
This is what happens when you install a bad display driver, especially that of many years back. Technology has advanced way beyond what was normal back in 2007, so this person shouldn’t even try to do so. While most of the time it would have shown the blue screen of death, this one just became messed up really bad instead.

Well, if you are not a tech professional, just don’t do these kinds of things. Sometimes, you may cause more trouble due to your curiosity.
Loose wires
Having loose wires at the back of the phone simply means that someone has tampered with it. While it is normal to get the battery of the phone replaced, we don’t understand how the wires were damaged this badly. At least, this is what we think the problem is since we are pretty bad at this kind of stuff after all.

Anyway, we don’t think that there are any phone models nowadays that offer users the choice to open the back of the phone, so we guess that this guy should get his phone changed.
Spinning too fast
Most average computer fans spin at a rate of a few hundred revolutions per minute (rpm). However, this person has a GPU fan that spins at almost 750 thousand rpm, which is essentially the number of revolutions that the fan would spin at for a full 24 hours. We are curious as to why this would happen but of course, it may just be a computer glitch.

That must have explained the low temperature of the GPU. Jokes aside, we really wonder why the computer would show such an rpm value.
Not the dog
While it is not really the dog’s fault for mistaking the headphones as something for it to chew, the person here managed to salvage the situation since he has a pair of similar headphones. While this is less of a fail, it is weird nonetheless.

We would have actually sent it to the repair shop since we don’t want to risk damaging both the headphones further but for this adventurous person here, he chose to do things himself. Thankfully, everything went well and he managed to repair his father’s damaged headphones.
Being too greedy
Putting too much stuff in the motherboard and making it impossible to stuff all of them in just makes this guy look bad. If it were us, we wouldn’ really brag about it on snapchat and ask others how we did, since this person can’t even fit all that stuff into the computer.

To be fair, it does appear to be rather decent, but the fact that the stuff can’t fit in just fails the most important step of constructing a computer.
WiFi cable
Sure enough, you would receive the internet by connecting to the WiFi, or by connecting to the internet cable, especially for your laptops or computers. However, the library staff must have gotten them confused since there is no such thing as a WiFi cable.

Of course, we understand what they are trying to offer here, which is the ethernet cable to be exact, but we should also consider that the library staff may not be as proficient in tech equipment as you and we are. Maybe someone should point that out.
Too cold for a computer
If you were to scrutinize this picture, you can see that the temperature of the CPU is over negative 2 billion degrees celsius. If you are familiar with a tad bit of physics, you would know that the lowest temperature possible in the entire universe is 0°K (or -273.15°C).

If you have a temperature of negative 2 billion celsius, you know that something has gone wrong somewhere. Well, at least this computer would never have an issue of overheating.
Ant infestation
Nobody in the right mind would use lemonade to clean their mouse, or any tech product for that matter. Not only would you spoil the electrical components, you would also invite uninvited guests to reside and infest your mouse.

The acidity (and maybe a hint of sweetness) of the lemons caused a ton of ants to gather on the mouse and we would like to believe that it is damaged already. Time to get a new mouse and never repeat the same mistake ever again.
